THE S+A DIGITAL DOCUMENT RETRIEVAL SYSTEM EXPLAINED:
The purpose of this system is to provide accessibility to project documents at various stages of it's life-cycle. During the design phase we will use it to communicate design intent with clients and consultants. During the bidding phases of the project we will use it for distribution to contractors. After construction is complete, building owners and facility managers can gain access to plans and specifications for their own use. This system is intended to provide a secure source of document storage and retrieval over a broad array of uses including future availability of building information models.

This will inevitably save printing costs by allowing access to drawings and specifications without the need to print and deliver entire document sets when not required. Owners will more readily attract competitive bids as we use this system to notify potential bidders of upcoming projects and make plan sets more accessible. The environment will benefit from less paper waste and fuel usage in the delivery of traditional document sets.

While it is still in development we will soon begin it's implementation. Check back for system status.
